Salt mines Salinas de Oro
Visit one of the few salt mines characterized by the production of salt with spring water.
These salt mines are very old, the first written document dates back to 1492 although it is believed that they date back to before this time.
Our salt factory, located in Salinas de Oro, is characterized by the artisanal production of salt with spring water. In the process, water from saline deposits is used, which accumulates in tanks, from where it is distributed through small pools. The sun and air carry out the evaporation of water, depositing salt at the bottom of the pools.
The collection is carried out in an artisanal way, through this method we obtain the precious, purely natural product.
This salt is rich in minerals such as Iodine, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium. Its use is advisable for anemia or goiter problems.

One of the activities you can try on the Alloz reservoir, on whose shores the campsite sits, is sailing. Whether you want to learn or already know, the services of the Navarra Sailing School, which operates on the reservoir, are at your full disposal.
The campsite has its own jetty, so you can stay at a campsite with all the amenities and enjoy sailing all in the same place. The Sierras of Andía and Urbasa (home to the source of the Urederra river) delimit the mountainous north of Middle Navarra and surround the village of Riezu , the source of the Ubagua river, which flows into the Alloz reservoir. Estella-Lizarra was founded in 1090 due to the need to attend the growing influx of pilgrims from all over Europe on their way to Santiago. Important examples of Romanesque (San Pedro Cloister in the Church of San Pedro) Gothic (façade of El Santo Sepulcro, Convent of Santo Domingo) and Plateresque architecture enrich a remarkably cultural city.
